No. The Shettles Method, which suggests timing sex to increase the chances of having a girl, is a popular myth. However, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim. A 1995 study found no relationship between the timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation and the gender of the baby. This myth endures because, about half the time, it will work! The baseline chance of having a girl is about 50%.
