Can you take Advil during pregnancy?

Last updated on June 3, 2026

Ibuprofen (Advil) is a slight concern in terms of birth defects early in pregnancy, however later in pregnancy and mid to late third trimester, there is a risk of it affecting one of the blood vessels in the baby’s heart.
