Marea is a licensed midwife who specializes in supporting the LGBTQ+ community throughout conception, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. They got their midwifery license from the California Medical Board in 2015 and founded their midwifery practice, Restore Midwifery, in 2016 in the Bay Area. They are the co-author of the book, Baby Making for Everybody—Fertility and Family Building for LGBTQ+ and Solo Parents, and the founder of PregnantTogether — a virtual community for queer folks and solo parents from TTC through parenting.
