What are you most excited for this summer?
What are you most excited for this summer? For me, it’s a hiking trip we’re taking right after the kids are done with school. Everyone needs a break and a chance to reconnect, and no better way to do it than whining about heat and bugs while trekking up and down a mountain. What’s your excitement?

Excited/scared of a transatlantic flight and several week visit with family; first flight for littlest, first time sharing a seat with a small child for the entire trip, oldest gets to celebrate her birthday at the beach. All exciting and scary and daunting.

Excited to travel from Oregon to Colorado for my good friend’s wedding. I’m a FTM and we will be bringing our 4 MO for her first plane ride. I’m just now wondering if you have an article on flying with babies! See ya!

Excited that we’re taking a week in a national park onto our annual trip to visit in-laws (which I always dread). Now there’s something for me to look forward to and the trip feels like less of a chore!

I’m expecting my 3rd child in the next few weeks, so that’s definitely the most exciting and scary thing happening for me this summer. I’m also excited to watch the Olympics!

mamuTaking my 1.5 year old to visit family in my country of origin. It’s going to be a really special trip to the city I was born in, and the neighborhoods I grew up in. Not to mention lots and lots of family around to help out as I will be 6 months along with my second and ready to kick back and watch the Olympics while she plays with all her cousins!

We never took a baby moon for my first pregnancy, so we’re packing up our one year old later this summer to go to San Diego and see the San Diego Zoo and Legoland with fresh toddler eyes! We’ll see how much walking I’m up for at 5-6 months pregnant and how much activity in a day my little lad tolerates.

I am most excited about experiencing summer as a first time mom. My son was born early April, and we’re so excited to do all of our favorite summery things with our new little sidekick.

We have a nutso move with our kids this summer and we just got the first phase done with the help of friends of course. Excited to be on the right path to our next home.
Also excited for a trip to Seattle with our family- one of the few tried and true good vacations with our kids- mostly because my brother in laws are there to entertain my kids so I can go for a couple walks sans children.0 comments -

Im really just trying to respond to the person asking about car seats on airplanes for bigger kids. Apologies if there’s a better place to do that- I cannot find it! The CARES harness is FAA approved and sooo much easier than lugging a car seat on to the plane. To me it’s a good middle ground between a huge car seat and just using the lap belt. Happy traveling everyone!
