Beginning June 3, Hot Flash is moving to Substack! Dr. Gillian Goddard is launching The Savvy Patient, which will include the Hot Flash newsletter and more writing on women’s health, hormones, and the post-reproductive period.  

If you are a Hot Flash subscriber, free or paid, you will still receive Hot Flash twice a week in your inbox. You don’t need to do anything!

What will happen to my ParentData subscription?

Your subscription to ParentData will not change. You will continue to receive Hot Flash as well as the benefits of your current ParentData subscription.

  • If you’re a free subscriber, you’ll continue to be a free subscriber to ParentData and automatically be added to The Savvy Patient’s newsletter on Substack.
  • If you’re a Web Access subscriber, you’ll continue to have unlimited access to ParentData.org and will automatically be added to The Savvy Patient’s newsletter on Substack.
  • If you’re a Plus or Premium subscriber, you’ll continue to have unlimited access to ParentData.org and personalized weekly newsletters. You’ll also receive a subscription to The Savvy Patient on Substack, which includes three months of access to new paid features like the opportunity to connect and chat with one another.
Will ParentData still have information on menopause?

Yes, Gillian’s articles and Q&As will still be on ParentData.org for you to explore and read.

Will I still get newsletters from ParentData?

Yes, you will continue receiving the ParentData newsletters to which you subscribe. You can review and adjust these newsletters on your Account page.

Do I need to do anything to sign up for Substack?

No, you will automatically be added to The Savvy Patient on Substack and continue receiving the Hot Flash newsletter in your inbox weekly without interruption. 

Will I have to pay for Substack?

No, you will not have to pay for your subscription to The Savvy Patient on Substack. However, if you’d like to upgrade your subscription on Substack, you can get access to new paid features like the ability to connect and chat with one another. Current paid subscribers will automatically receive access to these features for three months.

How do I ask Gillian questions on Substack?
