Are vibrators and other sex toys safe to use while pregnant? Are there any risks to the baby (aside from infection from putting something inside of you)?

Yes! In most cases, they are totally safe and fun.

The only caveat: If you have placenta previa — where the placenta is covering the cervix — you want to avoid orgasm because of uterine contractions. The evidence isn’t ironclad on that risk, but there are biological reasons to think we might be concerned. 

But assuming you have not been diagnosed with placenta previa … go for it.
