Can you travel during pregnancy?

Last updated on April 1, 2026

Yes, it is generally safe to travel during pregnancy. As a general rule, it's best to avoid travel after 34 weeks of pregnancy so you don't give birth far from home. For air travel, it's also recommended to walk around mid-flight and move your feet to reduce the (rare) risk of blood clots. If you have any complications or concerns, talk to your doctor before making plans.
