When I’m talking to my coworkers about my kiddo and realize how obsessed I am.
Weirdly I started reading romance novels right after my kids was born. Something to help me stay awake during nighttime nursing sessions? Anyways I’ve found it interesting that I enjoy all flavors of sexuality in these books and would recommend Casey McQuiston’s books to anyone ready for something a little different.
Ha I was literally just dreaming about how one day I will have the mental bandwidth to avoid Amazon. Right now I am so reliant on it. 🤦🏻
Do you want to spend pretty much all of your free time with a kid for the foreseeable future?
I am so thrilled for you!
Ugggh that’s so frustrating! I’m sorry!
Win: we just introduced our 20 month old to wearing a mask. I was anticipating a major struggle but it only took her a few minutes to get used to it. Opens up a whole new world for us—-there’s a lot of activities we’ve been avoiding to protect immune compromised family.
Woe: I’ve been traveling more for work lately and it’s hard on all of us. I have another trip coming up soon and I’m dreading hearing about my kiddo saying, “need mom” when I’m not there!
Responding to Everybody Hurts? about childbirth complications. Our birth certainly did not go smoothly (emergency c-section, sepsis, etc) BUT we had been seeing a midwifery collective for all our prenatal care and they were with us every step of the birth so honestly it didn’t feel traumatic, just eventful. Hopefully you’ll have folks with you who you trust! Plan for it!
My sister-in-law was so supportive and encouraging about every parenting choice we made. She was always saying, “you’re doing great!” and making positive comments about how awesome our kid is. Really meant the world to me to hear that from a mom of two preteens.
